Essay: "Friendship"

by Michael F.
"Friendship"

I have looked and sought after every kind of friendship imaginable, through the years, and different situations. There are good times friends, there are those lonely feelin' kind of blue friends. You even got those let's go kick their butt friends. They are like the wind, they come and they go, some are even as a passing storm you never know when they're going to Hit. My mother was that kind of a friend, I got used to the lightning striking. Some friends force themselves into your lives and don't really act like a friend at all.

You got friends on conditions, friends on missions and all this time you're making wrong decisions, not knowing where to turn having no real person to talk about what this guy and that guy has done to your life. Things aren't always what they seem, you got people undercover, your brothers wife her sister, your own mother. Everyone wants a chunk of you, you don't even feel human you feel like stolen bank loot. At times it gets hard to figure out, what's all the yelling and stopping around? The best thing to do is go real slow you can't be anyone's friend and there's things you need to know. Sit back and let happen, say a prayer and talk to the Chaplin. You'll find friends in time just beware of the company you keep.
