Essay: "Fresh Air"by Michael McKinney Well, for the month of September the theme essay topic is about fresh air. And September is the month I was born and this September that's coming up I will be 37 years old and it will be just like fresh air, to see that I am still living and breathing through all I have been through. And every chance I get to wake up and see another day is a great moment of fresh air. Just to know I have survived through all of this is a great moment of fresh air. When I was young and growing up, just about everybody in my hood said I was not going to live to see my 18th birthday. But on September 19, 2007, I will be turning 37 years old and that will be another great moment of fresh air. I have lived to see 18 years and many more and the air doesn't get any fresher than that. And every moment of fresh air I am able to get really helps me along the way. The life I have lived has not had very much air, I have been held in bondage for so many years in this one man cell, in a close management control unit. Every time I am able to be in contact with anything that gives me just a moment of fresh air, it makes me appreciate every little bit of fresh air I am able to get, especially when I am able to spend any kind of time with the ones I care for.
