Essay: "Mind Games"by Bryan Page The Texas Mind Game
You have heard about the games that con-men play to beat someone for their money. We all know of the schemes and wiles of the gold-digger. Being on my seventh year in a maximum security prison, I have met or heard about them all. Yet, there is one viler, one so damaging to its victim that I can't believe there's not a public outcry, a public mob of angered vigilantes. Worse yet, it's legal.' I am talking about what I call the Texas Mind game. It is the standard procedure for the State of Texas, in its justice policies, or unjust I should say. Let me explain. First you take one of the hundreds of thousands of men and women in this state with addictions who would otherwise be normal productive citizens. You can spot them everywhere by the types of cars they drive (cheap), they way they dress or behave, and you arrest them for one of many petty crimes. Once you have them in your system, you assign them a public defender who in truth is part of the mind game. You go to your victim right away and tell them, "sir, mam your gonna get 25 years to life. The victim will be in total shock. They're thinking, 'My God, it was shoplifting or fill in petty crime here. Then you let the victim sit in jail for a long time (average 1year) thinking about 25 years to life. Keep your public defenders away from them during this time. Then after about a year, have the public defender pop in one day and say, "We are going to trial tomorrow and we will probably lose, and if we do your gonna get at least 40." On the day of the trial (so-called), go to the holding cell and tell the victim "Well I got them down to 10,12,15you can insert any random number here, but if you don't sign for it now, it back to the 25 to life, and if you take the 10,12,15 you will be out on parole in less than two years and back with your family." Now, this is where it gets good. There is nothing saying that the victim has to be released on parole. In fact, you have a non-violent, non-sexual offender at your disposal and no matter what they do or how they act there is nothing to say they have to let the victim go over the next decade and a half. These victims are perfect to fill in the growing need of laborers in the booming textile, mechanical, and automotive plants that feed the state's industries. The second part of the mind game must be put into play to become a truly heinous scam. It involved forcing the willing participation of the victims. The state severely restricts any contact with the victim to his family. No phones, only two hour visits every other weekend and placing victims hundreds of miles from the country the crime was committed and the person lives. This leaves the victim deprived of outside contact and willing to do anything for a chance to go home. Tell the victim he is eligible for parole if he can fulfill certain requirements. No disciplinary cases(impossible) have willing employers write letters saying they will hire you (almost impossible) and your family pay 2,500 to 10,000 to ex-public defenders now named, 'Parole Attorneys' (only for victims with wealthy families). You can continue this for up to 10 set-offs or the entire sentence of the victim. Note; victims family will usually collapse from hear break and disappointment between the 4th and 7th set off. Note: Even if the parole eligible victim ahs a complied with all requirements, a seven set off or 10 year maximum is average. And finally, the icing on the cake. Place petty crime offender in a maximum security prison and make countless public statements saying that these tens of thousands of non-violent, non-sexual offenders are a threat to the public. With the reasoning that they have spent all these years in a dangerous 'school for criminals' Note: This mind game has a 99% success rate. Note: one caution for the future is that eventually all these victims will discharge their sentence and the streets will be (are being) filled with people who hate to the depth of their soul the state, authority, and anyone who might resemble such, can beat up Mike Tyson and have nothing to lose. Thus you have the Texas Mind Game |
