Essay: "Second Chance"by Clyde O. Jr. Pittman Everyone at some point in their life wishes they could do something over again. Whether it's small or big, we just wish we could make things better. Growing up, I can recall just about everyone who was close to me saying, "If I could have known then what I know now." They would change the course of events in their lives to be more complete with themselves.
Life in general is a chance; we are born with no knowledge of the world that surrounds us. We learn from our elders, or the people who are around us. Through out our lives there are a lot of opportunities that will present themselves. Some of these opportunities are good and some will be bad, but they are chances one must take. So if I had a second chance, I would like to change my years back in school. If I had a "2nd chance," I would utilize my time by studying and playing sports. Then maybe I could be in the NFL, with the other Pittmans. If I had a second chance, that's what I would like to change in my life. I believe everyone deserves a second chance, because things are always easier the second time around. |
