Essay: "Friendship"

by David F.
"Friendship"

What is it that makes us make friends with others? The fraternization of one sisterly or brotherly amicable confidant to another. Is it for our amiable selflessness, or is it a masquerade? As you know, one could have a field-day with this topic.

Intimacy, however, has to begin within. To become hospitable with someone else, I must first be on good terms with me. My warmhearted confrére and intimate side-kick is the person I am around most. Who is always here? Someone else might be in it for amusement, or the masquerade. I am in it for the long run... I am friend for life.
