Essay: "Expectations"

High Expectations

I've got high expectations. All through school and college my English teachers told me, "Your sentences are too long! Cut them down to just a few words and only one thought each. Don't use complex sentences and structures or so many different punctuation marks." Basically, they would read my essays and love them, but think that they should be simplified so that they wouldn't confuse (or test) persons of lesser ability.

Screw that! I'm not on this Earth to help people maintain their ignorance. I'm here to drag them out of the darkness and into the light of knowing. Hitler said, "Ignorance hand in hand with gullibility." Hitler knew, he was an expert on detecting and using the ignorant and gullible. He was such an expert that he had millions of people marching off cliffs for him. He STILL has cults in many different countries with hordes of fools CONTINUING to dive into volcanoes for him.

Idiocy such as this cannot be tolerated by modern man. This is why I am always dragging people up the mountain. This is why I have no patience for people who cry, "Hold up! Wait for me!" I don't pattie-cake concepts down to fifth grade level life newspapers, magazines, television and Hollywood movies do. Instead of talking down to people, I make them strain to keep up. I make them stretch their minds to its capacity and I hope that they will do the same courtesy for me.

If everyone followed my strategy for intellectual growth, I'd expect the world to become a better place much faster. Help us out!
