Essay: "Expectations"

Expectations Due

by joe Hurtado
What does expectation bring us? If we do a special project and put all our heart into it, we will have high expectations it will come out real good, right? Expectations due is what we make out of it. God's expectations of us are for us to have Faith and repentance for our sins if we want to go to Heaven. Yet, we are living a sinful life; we can't expect to go to Heaven. "If anyone thinks he is something when he is nothing, he deceived himself" (Galatians 6:3). If we are expecting good to come to us, "Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature what can he expect? Will he reap destruction: the one who sows to please the Spirit? From the Spirit will reap eternal life" (Galatians 6:7).

What we expect is the only that expectations. But when we trust and believe in the Lord our God and do his will, we can have righteous expectations! God never changes! His plan, which is for Jesus to manifest Himself in us as his body, the fullness of him the filleth all in all" (Ephesians 1:23).

"His plan is still for believers to comprehend, to have a working knowledge of and to know intimately the Love of Christ and His Anointing." (Ephesians 3:19).

Jesus is the source of our joy, of our expectations of our circumstances we go through in our life--have nothing to do with the joy that only Jesus can give us!

Trust Him and Believe in our Lord our God! And thy righteous expectations will come your way! I love you!

In Jesus Christ, I am your brother!
