Essay: "My Favorite Place"

My favorite place is not necessarily a physical location, as much as it is a state of mind. The state of mind that I speak of cannot be located by a easy trail or path. So to reach it you have to travel through the forests of inner turmoil, of emotions growing like thick undergrowth of brambles. Inside, hidden by this demure profusion is a meadow of soft grass that is a resting place. A place that invites you to let worries and cares melt away, opens its arms to introspection. To contemplation of the serene growth amidst all the seeming chaos of life. In that place is found the strength of peace with which to learn that life need not be a struggle. In that peace lies the key to finding the way through the forest of life, the path that guides you. That allows you see the forest, to study and learn from it, that is free of the tangles. We all have this place inside of us, which we can find, if we are unwilling to make the effort of finding it. This is my favorite place....
