Essay: "Food"

by James Rowley
Choices Life consists of a series of choices. The little choices that we make on a day-to-day basis are the same factors that affect our health tomorrow, next year or in the next decade. In other words, the long term picture of your health is created by all the things that you do and don't do and all the things that you put and don't put into your body on a day to day basis. This ongoing string of small choices can determine whether you are going to be healthy or sick in the days ahead. Genetic factors influence the equation in some ways, but the health and nutrition choices you make today can still help determine whether you end up battling heart disease, diabetes, or cancer tomorrow. The choices you make today will determine what you will have, be and do in the tomorrow of your life.
