Essay: "Gambling"

by James Evans
Come On Lucky #7

Pulsing with the radiance of greed, hate, fear, obsession, and a power no other human soul can challenge! Me, I hold sway over all outcomes, there is no game, race or match that I don't hold power over. I decide the outcome, who win's who loses, who goes home with the trophy.

With their bleeding hearts beating in my ear's, the drone of their screaming voices, hope and obsession defalcating into oblivion. They believe they hold power over such, but I know they can't consume such an essence of a power so great. This is what we all think and feel when we call our bets. Sound familiar? Well it should, it's only been very high, orgasm, an obsession over a person, an action, and the power of self- indulgence.

Gambling is just another high, but unlike any high, gambling only limit is how far you are willing to go and where you wish to place your bet. But gambling is one of the most popular obsessions, next to that creepy guy looking through your sister's window. It will blind you and suffocate you with no remorse. And if you allow it, it will rip your life from your grasp just like a drug would. But don't get all offensive, I myself am a gambler and, like any other person, I know the risk factor, and have been sucked into the vortex of the ultimate rush. So with that, come on lucky # 7!
