Essay: "Sources of Strength"

by David Snyder
Writing Enlighten others Aid others Paralegal All of them are what I do or struggle to do. Where my hopes and dreams can no longer be, I want to help others have, fight for those who can't, be their voice and clean our government and judicial system of corruption, useless politicians. Those are my sources of strength. Most of it anyway. If I have to be a martyr, well, I guess it's meant to be. I'm a fighter. At times I feel beaten but it only drives more and brings strength. Hell, it turns me rabid in a way. The more I pushed the more I have won and made some see their wrongs, incompetence, negligence, etc. Okay, in prison language I'm "political." Damn right! More people need to be. If you bitch but make no effort to right things? Just shut the fuck up! You don't vote? Then you essentially lost your right to cry. You want change? Then step up to the plate and stop being a hypocrite! The music group Hinder said it straight up: "If everyone cared and nobody cried, If everyone loved and nobody lied, If everyone shared and swallowed their pride, We'd see the day when nobody died." Take those words as a source of strength. Strive for them. Teach them. Fight for them.
