	Hi. My name is Ruben. I'm currently incarcerated in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.   
I'll be here for a while longer.   
	I'm interested in Pen Pals, so I'll describe myself. I'm a Hispanic Native Texan. I'm 46 years  
old, 5'9" tall, and weigh 175 lbs. I'm a divorced father of three adult sons. All three are married. I  
have 2 grandsons and 1 granddaughter. My mother, big brother, and little sister live in Houston. I'm   
from there too. My family visits and writes, it's not the same thing as a friend to write to.  
	I'm fluent in Spanish and English. I have an Associates Degree in Applied Science. Unfortunately,  
I wasn't smart enough to keep myself out of prison. Some of my interests are reading. I especially like  
romance novels, mystery, and suspense too. I'm not a devout Christian, but I do believe in God. I read  
my Bible and pray daily. I also do Bible Study. I like pick-up trucks and motorcycles. I've had 4 in   
my lifetime.  As far as sports go, I'm crazy about baseball. I also like the Rodeo and winter sports,   
that's all! I do some artwork. It's not the best, but I improve with every new drawing.   
	As far as my criminal history, well, this is my first time in prison. So I'm not a career   
criminal. I have 18 months done on a 12 year sentence. I committed my first crime at age 43. I violated  
my probation at age 45. Coming to prison is my punishment. I committed my errors while using and abusing  
drugs (cocaine) and alcohol (tequila). In prison there aren't any drugs or alcohol to abuse, so my head  
is clear. Fortunately I don't have and life-threatening diseases either.   
	I'm open-minded, so feel free to ask me any questions you like. I will answer all letters   
(correspondence).
