Zachariah Chiaia

Zachariah Chiaia #J-39143 B-5-219 upper Salinas Valley State Prison P.O. Box 1040 Soledad, CA 93960

My name is Zak Chiaia (Ki-eh-uh). Zak is short for Zachariah, which means "God remembers". I'm as unique as my last name; a creative, erudite young man with a dynamic mind, a sharp wit, a wicked sense of humor, and a bold, hedonistic personality. I seek correspondence and companionship with outgoing people.

In a word, I'm "enigmatic": athletic, cerebral and passionate; logical but impulsive; a bit of a bad-boy; generously tattooed; and fiercely anti-authoritarian. I enjoy classical literature, and I like to surf, and play basketball and beach volleyball. I'm also a devout student of physics -- well versed in Quantum Mechanics, Einstein's works, and Cosmology.

A prolific writer and talented artist, I draw, paint, sculpt, and tattoo; and I write essays, fiction, poetry, and erotica. I'm presently writing a non-fiction work, and I plan to write several novels. Astronomy fascinates me. The most beautiful thing I've ever seen is the Eagle Nebula in Serpens (the constellation). I'd love to paint it someday.

This and the other prisons I've had the pleasure of inhabiting only allow prisoners to have photographs taken in the visiting room during visits. I have no photos of myself, as I haven't had a visit in nearly ten years.

Vital Information: I'm 28, modestly attractive, single, Caucasian, 6'. 185 pounds, with green eyes, brown hair, and a medium build. I've been imprisoned for nearly 11 years, sentenced to 15 years to life, convicted of second-degree murder for my role in a fist-fight (at age 18) with a man who later died. Despite my conviction, I am unconvinced that I actually caused his death.

I'd be delighted to tell you more about myself, or to satisfy your curiosities about life in California's Maximum Security Prison System, but you'll have to write to me first. I look forward to your letter.
