My name is Aaron Allen White and I am 19 years old. When I first got to prison at 17, I thought it was a joke or that I was dreaming and would soon wake, but that never happened. It started when I was young. Like a lot of people in prison I was beaten when I was a kid. I soon got tired of it though and ran away from home. My mom didn't report me missing for almost a week. During that week though I was introduced to drugs (weed, speed) and a week after being reported I was picked up for shoplifting and was sent to juvenile hall. I was there for 2" weeks and was released to my mother's care. I got out, kept doing drugs and running away and was sent to Boys Ranch outside of Amarillo. Seeing as how I'm from Amarillo all, my mom had to do was drive 47 miles to see me. I was there six months and seen her once for my grandmother's funeral. I was still doing drugs and getting into trouble and was kicked out. By now I was a heavy drug user, but still somehow managed to stay out of trouble for a year and a half. I was then picked up for seven counts of burglary, one arson, and possession of a .357 magnum. This was my last chance as a minor, but didn't know it.

I was sent to a place called Hope Center in South Texas in the Davy Crockett Forest. It was a good place, but I was released after six months due to health problems. I was out almost eight months to the day and was picked up my last time for three counts of burglary. I was sentenced to five years plus ten years of probation, but consider myself lucky. The max for each charge is 20 years and I came off blessed. I am no longer into drugs or smoking (not that I can't get it) its just I feel better without than I did on it. I am getting my relationship back with my family and want to get out and go to school. I hope this letter helps whoever reads it and feels that they can correspond with me.

		Sincerely,
