Essay: "Mind Games"by Seantobi O. Reeves Who doesn't Play Mind Games?
Ever since childhood I've participated, "Mom, can I go to the park?" Ask your father! "Dad, Mom said it's okay, but to make sure it's all right with you and if you don't need me for anything, for me to go to the park?" I mean it's somewhat of an innate ability. I do think that those of us in the incarcerated kind play Mind Games, 24/7, 365. It's something we do without even realizing it. I'm not fond of being guilty if being a pro at playing mental games. But I do think that it has made me a better person now that I am no longer in the dark of such game playing that we do with each other. I've learned how to be patient and tolerate more false promises and am now actually able to recognize them when one is gaming me. We play Game Recognize Game, it's like letting one know not to attempt to play any mental or manipulative games with me or else. I need to look at Mind Games for what they are, Psychological Strategies or Gizms. After all Man means Mind, right? And Psyche means mind + psychology, the study of mind. So one should play or seriously attempt to learn how to recognize games played by people who use their minds. Okay let me stop this angle before I get to asking the question that stumps experts. Gotcha huh? Okay I'll go on to ask it, "Where is the Mind?" I used to think it was in the brain department too. But oh well just shows where one's mind is at. Can they be harmful? Of course when we abuse or misuse our knowledge on others inability to participate on being against someone else's plays unknowingly can have many effects that aren't being kindly received. Well I'm merely touching basics here so pay me as much mind as you're familiar with what I've said. It's all good. That is all mind over matter and the premise is if they don't mind if it doesn't matter. Cordially, your Friend |
