PRISONER EXPRESS

My pride has caused me many problems. I used to think of myself with false pride such as I'm better than this person or I'm better than that one. In the end we are not better than each other, and it is false pride of oneself that gets a lot of us. It's good to have pride for a job well done or pride in your child doing the right things in life. It's even good to have pride in your race. In prison we take pride of our race and change it to a hateful way and put other races down. This is not having pride in your race! That is just hate in one's self and false pride that you're better than someone else. That is not the way we should live. I have lived through this false pride and am not happy with my choices, but I can not go backwards. I can only go forward and have pride in myself for doing the right things in my life now that make me proud of my choices.
